I attend Stony Brook University to pursue a degree in journalism with an online concentration. My goal is to inform the students and faculty on campus of news, sports and student events. I am a staff writer for the Stony Brook Independent and I've published over 10 articles, so far this semester. I hope to increase my published work, strengthen my writing skills and provide a diverse range of newsworthy material to the campus. I traveled to China last summer with a group of journalism students along the silk road. This was an amazing experience that I believe every journalism major should experience before graduating from Stony Brook University.
